Rocket City Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Huntsville, AL is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat speech, language, cognition, and swallowing issues, and to contribute to a supportive therapy team.

You will develop evidence-based treatment plans, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement initiatives while supporting ongoing professional development and a patient‑centered approach in a friendly work environment.

Compensation:

1. Salary: $40-$43/hr based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing
2. Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans
3. Specialize in dysphagia management and cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation
4. Educate patients, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies
5. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in patient care

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
2. Current Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) and ASHA CCC certification in the state of Alabama
3. 2+ years of experience in skilled nursing or similar setting (preferred)
4. Expertise in dysphagia management and cognitive rehabilitation
5. Passion for geriatric care and interdisciplinary collaboration
