Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to screen, evaluate, and treat patients in our Texas clinical setting. You will develop comprehensive assessments and set measurable goals to improve independence and communication.

Candidates must hold CCC-SLP, be CFY supervised by a licensed SLP, and maintain a current state license. Excellent communication with patients, families, and staff is required; CFY supervision is provided.

Responsibilities

• Screens, evaluates, and treats patients.

• Supervises CFYs, speech interns, and rehab techs in patient care.

Qualifications

Essential Functions

• Screens, evaluates, and treats Patients
• Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures
• Reviews patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions and contraindications
• Establishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward his or her maximum level of independence and/or function
• Supervises CFYs, speech Interns and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act

Qualifications

• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association
• A Speech-Language Pathologist completing Clinical Fellowship (CF) with appropriate supervision from a certified and licensed SLP
• Current state license in the state of practice
• Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff
• Must be capable of performing the responsibilities of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
