Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to deliver high-quality therapy, evaluation, and treatment for patients in our Cedar Hill location. The role involves screening, assessing, and treating speech-language disorders while coordinating with families and the care team.

The ideal candidate holds CCC-SLP credentials, a current state license, and is able to supervise CFYs and interns.

Qualifications

• CCC-SLP certification is required.
• Clinical Fellowship (CF) with appropriate supervision is acceptable.
• Current state license in the state of practice is required.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and staff.
• Ability to supervise CFYs, interns, and rehab techs as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Screens, evaluates, and treats patients.
• Completes comprehensive evaluations using standard tools and procedures.
• Reviews patient records for diagnoses, history, precautions, and contraindications.
• Sets measurable goals and develops treatment plans to maximize independence and function.
• Supervises CFYs, interns, and rehab techs in direct patient care in line with state practice acts.

Qualifications

Essential Functions:

• Screens, evaluates, and treats Patients
• Completes a comprehensive evaluation using appropriate evaluation and assessment tools and procedures
• Reviews patient records for current diagnoses, past medical history, precautions and contraindications
• Establishes measurable goals and develops treatment plan to move the patient toward his or her maximum level of independence and/or function
• Supervises CFYs, speech Interns and rehab techs in direct patient care and patient-related activities in accordance with state practice act

Qualifications

• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association
• A Speech-Language Pathologist completing Clinical Fellowship (CF) with appropriate supervision from a certified and licensed SLP
• Current state license in the state of practice
• Must have good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff
• Must be capable of performing the responsibilities of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
