Job summary

Falkville Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat speech, language, cognition, and swallowing for geriatric patients.

The role offers a competitive $42–$51/hour pay, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and a supportive, growth‑oriented team environment in Alabama. Day shifts, M-F, 8a‑5p, with PRN option not eligible for sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Current SLP and ASHA CCC certification in Alabama.
• 2+ years experience in skilled nursing or similar setting preferred.
• Expertise in dysphagia management and cognitive rehabilitation.
• Passion for geriatric care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing.
• Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Specialize in dysphagia management and cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in patient care.
