Job summary

Pinnacle Care of Battle Creek is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team. The role focuses on evaluating residents, planning and executing individualized treatment programs, and delivering high-quality care in line with ASHA guidelines.

The Speech Language Pathologist will maintain clinical records, participate in continuing education, and assist with discharge planning and providing information about support programs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• CCC-SLP certification required by ASHA.
• Active State license to practice in Michigan.
• BLS certification maintained to meet department protocol.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate resident needs for speech therapy and create personalized treatment plans.
• Plan and execute individual treatment programs in accordance with ASHA and SLP scope of practice.
• Keep treatment skills upgraded through continuing education, evidence-based research, and program development.
• Perform therapy interventions using standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the resident's condition.
• Educate and counsel residents and/or family members regarding treatment plans.
• Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
• Plan and/or assist with resident discharge from speech therapy services.
• Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.

Education

Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Certificate of Clinical Competence by ASHA (CCC-SLP)

Active SLP license in the state of Michigan

Possesses and maintains BLS certification

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating resident needs for speech therapy, planning and executing individual treatment programs, and providing high-quality care in accordance with ASHA and SLP scope of practice.
