Responsibilities
  • Take initiative, responsibility, and action each day; understand physical, mental, psychological, and social needs of patients
  • Apply communication skills, evaluation, and treatment knowledge; collaborate with associates for interdisciplinary patient programming
  • Provide comprehensive evaluation of communication skills and/or swallowing function, and goal‑oriented treatment to facilitate maximum potential
  • Participate with fellow staff in monitoring quality of services in the Rehab Therapy Department
  • Participate in peer review for staff performance and appraisals
  • Assist in developing the SLP role in programs and services; revise departmental policies and procedures
  • Assist in maintaining adequate stock of supplies
  • Share professional knowledge & experience; alert Manager to educational needs
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
  • Certified BLS or complete certification within first 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech‑Language & Hearing Association.
