Job summary

Potomac Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Rockville, MD is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position. This role includes a $10,000 retention bonus and a supportive team focused on compassionate care for residents in a long-term geriatric setting.

You will assess and treat patients, document progress, collaborate with disciplines, and participate in ongoing professional development and facility training.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid state license/registration in the practice state.
• Experience in long-term/geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assess medical condition, functional capabilities, and rehabilitation potential.
• Establish and administer treatment plans with goals aligned to patient capacity under physician direction.
• Document patient status and educate patients and families in treatment methods.

Speech & Language Pathologist (SLP) - Full-time position offers a $10K Retention Bonus. Salary Range posted on position is dependent on years of experience as an SLP.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
• Document and record the patients' condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred
