Job summary

LEARN Academy seeks an Elementary Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time role in Peoria, AZ, four days per week, starting December 2026. You will support students with communication needs in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The position offers competitive compensation with W2 hourly pay, benefits (medical/dental/vision), 401K, paid time off, holiday pay, licensure and dues reimbursement, relocation assistance, and referral bonuses.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
• Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Maintain license per ASHA requirements.
• Current AZ licensure or willing to obtain.
• Current AZ DOE certification or willing to obtain.
• Current AZ IVP Fingerprint card or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate students' communication abilities to identify needs across articulation, language, and voice.
• Develop and implement SLP treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate speech-language strategies into curricula.
• Contribute to IEP processes with progress insights and interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development.
• Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies.
• Align services with Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) principles.
• Mentor or supervise assistants or students within the SLP community.
• Deliver trainings to instructional and related service staff.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' communication abilities in areas such as articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive and receptive language.
• Develop and implement speech and language therapy intervention plans that align with students' IEP goals and educational needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate speech and language strategies into the educational curriculum and provide consultative services.
• Contribute to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending appropriate interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based speech and language therapy.
• Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies to support student access to the curriculum.
• Collaborate with the special education team to ensure occupational speech and language therapy services align with the least restrictive environment (LRE) principle.
• Mentor and/or supervise assistants or students in the speech and language therapy community.
• Provide trainings to instructional and related service staff.
