Job summary

LEARN Academy/Learn It Academic Services is interviewing a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for an in-person, part-time role in a school setting for immediate start. 1-1.5 days/week with supervision from Local Clinical Manager. Sessions are in-person in K-8 classrooms, focusing on small group pull-out therapy.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality speech therapy and support student IEP goals. PA licensure and Praxis are required.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Maintain license per ASHA requirements and PA State Licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' communication abilities in articulation, fluency, voice, and language.
  • Develop and implement speech and language therapy intervention plans aligned with IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate strategies into the curriculum and provide consultative services.
  • Contribute to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending interventions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development to stay current with best practices.
  • Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies to support curriculum access.
  • Collaborate with the special education team to align services with LRE principles.
  • Mentor or supervise assistants or students in the speech-language therapy community.

Education

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Responsibilities

LEARN Academy/Learn It Academic Services is looking for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to work in our K-8 classrooms engaging in small group pull-out therapy sessions.Sessions will take place in-person. This is a great opportunity to join a growing, interdisciplinary team of professionals focused on creating exceptional learning experiences for children in need.

In this position, you would be a part of an educational team consisting of a supervisor, educators, and fellow SLPs. This team works with the School District of Philadelphia to deliver the highest-quality speech therapy to students who qualify. As a SLP you will work closely with school personnel and parents.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement speech and language therapy intervention plans that align with students' IEP goals and educational needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate speech and language strategies into the educational curriculum and provide consultative services.
  • Contribute to the IEP process by providing insights on student progress and recommending appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school-based speech and language therapy.
  • Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies to support student access to the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with the special education team to ensure occupational speech and language therapy services align with the least restrictive environment (LRE) principle.
  • Mentor and/or supervise assistants or students in the speech and language therapy community.
