Trinity Health MI is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive services in an acute care setting with coverage for inpatient rehabilitation and videofluoroscopic swallow studies. The role emphasizes evaluation, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
The position requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, Michigan licensure (or eligibility), and CCC status through ASHA. BLS or equivalent is required.
Majority of hours are spent in acute care, however, position will be required to cover inpatient rehabilitation unit, as well as, videofluoroscopic swallow studies.

Assumes full responsibility for providing quality speech language pathology services in compliance with ASHA and SLP scope of practice. Independently provides comprehensive services to improve patient participation, independence, and functioning through the evaluation of medical necessity for skilled speech therapy services, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, multidisciplinary team Involvement, counseling, referrals, and education. Provides education and instruction to the patient and family regarding evaluation results, plan of care, recommended interventions, home exercise programs. Including providing written instructions, as necessary. Provides culturally responsive care by creating a culturally safe environment, utilizing appropriate assessment and treatment materials, and obtaining language interpretation as needed.
