Job summary

Excelsior Care Group is seeking a Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) at Live Oak Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Florida. You will collaborate with a rehabilitation team to provide personalized therapy activities and adaptive communication device training to residents, ensuring their goals and abilities are met.

The ideal candidate will possess ASHA certification and a Florida SLP license. The role includes leading training programs and participating in care planning to create a supportive and empathetic environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech‑Language Pathology program.
  • ASHA certification required.
  • Florida SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Eligible for Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC‑SLP).
  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the rehab team for adaptive communication device use.
  • Design personalized therapy activities tailored to residents’ goals.

Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Facility: Live Oak Healthcare and Rehabilitation
Location: Live Oak, Florida
Shift: Full-Time
Salary: $44-$52 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the rehab team to acquire and train residents in the use of adaptive communication devices.
  • Design and implement personalized therapy activities tailored to residents’ goals, abilities, and interests.
  • Consult with interdisciplinary staff to create individualized therapy regimens.
  • Guide residents in communication skill-building, monitor progress, and adapt therapy plans as needed.
  • Lead in-service training programs on speech therapy techniques for medical, nursing, and therapy staff.
  • Supervise support personnel in accordance with state and professional standards.
  • Actively participate in care planning meetings and facility events.
  • Maintain a supportive, respectful, and empathetic environment for all residents.
