Job summary

St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive care for patients and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve communication and swallowing functions.

The candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing impairments, develop individualized plans, educate families, and document progress in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience in an acute or rehabilitation setting preferred.
  • Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
  • CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital is a state‑of‑the‑art, 50‑bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment throughout patients' recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

Position: Speech‑Language Pathologist (Full Time – Days)

As a Speech‑Language Pathologist at St. Mary Rehabilitation Hospital, you will provide comprehensive care to patients, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support their recovery and improve communication and swallowing functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
