Job summary

Synchrony Rehab is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Country Time Inn & Wellington House, a Senior Living Community, in Kings Mountain, NC. Schedule is Mon-Fri with no holidays or weekends; Part-time rate 40–46/hr or PRN 50–55/hr.

The role requires CCC-SLP licensure (ASHA) preferred, Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, and CPR certification preferred. 0–1 years experience encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • State licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP preferred or required).
  • Current CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans with measurable goals.
  • Provide therapy to improve communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Educate patients and families about disorders and therapy techniques.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

Job Summary The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), is responsible for providing a full range of speech-language pathology services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.

Licenses and CertificationsMust have and maintain a current, valid state SLP licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred or requiredCurrent valid CPR certification, preferred

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders through clinical assessments, standardized tests, and patient interviews.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings, setting measurable goals to address patients’ specific needs.
  • Provide therapy to improve patients’ communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension, voice modulation, and fluency, as well as swallowing and feeding abilities.
  • Educate patients and their families about the nature of disorders, therapy techniques, and strategies to support progress and enhance communication and swallowing in daily life.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Other duties as assigned.
