Job summary

One Vision International is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a residential healthcare team in Harlingen, Texas. The role focuses on evaluations, individualized treatment plans, and therapy to improve communication and swallowing function.

This onsite full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a monthly assignment length and potential renewal. Licensure in Texas is required, with CCC-SLP preferred and experience in EHR documentation.

Qualifications

  • Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
  • CCC-SLP certification preferred.
  • Experience evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Strong knowledge of dysphagia assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Assess dysphagia and swallowing function to develop treatment plans.
  • Create and implement individualized therapy programs based on clinical findings.
  • Provide direct speech-language pathology treatment services.
  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in the EHR.
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, psychologists, dietitians, and other team members.

We're seeking a compassionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a residential healthcare team serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role, you'll provide evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver therapy services that improve communication, swallowing function, and overall quality of life.

Position Highlights
  • Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Contract: Monthly with option to renew

Employment Options:

  • W2: $60/hour
  • 1099: $69/hour
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders.
  • Assess dysphagia and swallowing function to develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Create and implement individualized therapy programs based on clinical findings.
  • Provide direct speech-language pathology treatment services.
  • Accurately document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, psychologists, dietitians, and other interdisciplinary team members.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care meetings to support coordinated patient care.
  • Educate caregivers and staff on communication strategies and therapeutic techniques.
  • Assist with quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based treatment program development.
  • Support emergency response and continuity of operations activities when needed.
Qualifications
  • Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required.
  • CCC-SLP certification preferred.
  • Experience evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Strong knowledge of dysphagia assessment and intervention.
  • Experience documenting within an electronic health record (EHR).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Experience in residential healthcare, rehabilitation, long-term care, or state-supported living environments.
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary treatment planning and quality improvement initiatives.
