Job summary

Rock Health in Washington is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide direct speech therapy rehabilitation in a skilled nursing facility setting. You will establish and modify goals, implement therapy plans, and document progress using therapy software.

The role requires an MS/MA in Speech Therapy, active state license, and ASHA certification or CFY eligibility. Experience in post-acute care and CPR certification are preferred, with strong communication and independent decision-making

Role Overview

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct speech therapy rehabilitation to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Responsibilities

• Establish, assess, and modify treatment goals
• develop and implement therapy plans
• document progress accurately
• utilize therapy software
• collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• support patient recovery and functional improvement
• oversee and evaluate care provided by Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates if applicable
• participate in community health projects
• and maintain professional relationships while safeguarding confidentiality.

Qualifications & Skills

• Must have an MS or MA in speech therapy from an accredited program, be ASHA certified or eligible for CFY, and hold an active state license.
• Preferred experience in post-acute care.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, ability to make independent decisions, knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, and CPR certification are required.
