Job summary

Expatiate Communications is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for school-based services in Fremont, CA. You will assess students, develop individualized language plans, and participate in IEP meetings to support student needs.

Applicants must hold a California SLP License/CTC or have eligibility for a state waiver, and be legally eligible to work in the United States. Travel to multiple school sites within the district is expected.

Description

Work Setting: School-Based

Location: Fremont, CA

Pay Range: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour DOE

What You’ll Do:

• Assesses the needs of pupils with speech or language disorders and matches their needs with programs available through the educational system.
• Reports progress to faculty members and meets with them on a regular basis to discuss their evaluations of students' skills as demonstrated in class performance and social interaction with other students.
• Develop individual speech and language programs based upon assessment results.
• Participate in the eligibility and planning required for development of the IEP when a communication disorder is present.
• Repeat evaluations on a regular basis to measure progress according to professional guidelines.
• Create and access multiple types of databases; utilize internet-based IEP document programs (such as Special Education Information Systems-SEIS or SIRAS); able to create documents using MS Office Power Point, Excel, and Word.
• Travel to school site within assigned region.
• Attend IEP meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Bring:

• Valid California SLP License / CTC Credential or eligibility for a state waiver
• A valid license/RPE issued from Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board, California.
• Must be legally eligible to work in United States.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites, is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
