Qualifications

Role Overview:

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct speech therapy rehabilitation to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Responsibilities Include

• Assessing, establishing, and modifying patient goals for speech, language, and communication needs.
• Developing and implementing treatment plans in accordance with physician referrals and regulatory standards.
• Charting progress accurately and utilizing therapy software.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Supervising and evaluating speech therapy students and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates (for certified SLPs).
• Maintaining professional relationships, confidentiality, and adhering to company policies.
• Participating in community health initiatives and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of an accredited speech therapy program (MS or MA).
• Certification by ASHA (CCC) or eligible for CFY.
• Valid state license and CPR certification.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and therapy documentation software.
