Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and implement speech therapy treatments following physician referrals and legal standards.
  • Chart patient progress accurately and timely using therapy software.
  • Oversee and evaluate CFY trainees, if applicable.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and support staff to meet patient needs.
  • Participate in community health initiatives and maintain professional relationships.
  • Adhere to safety, confidentiality, and company policies, including compliance and harassment protocols.
  • Establish and adjust patient goals, participate in team planning, follow treatment plans, document care, and demonstrate dependable attendance.

Role Overview

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct speech therapy rehabilitation to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting. They assess, develop, and modify treatment plans to help patients achieve functional goals, working within an interdisciplinary team to improve quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and implement speech therapy treatments following physician referrals and legal standards.
  • Chart patient progress accurately and timely using therapy software.
  • Oversee and evaluate care provided by Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) trainees, if applicable.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and support staff to meet patient needs.
  • Participate in community health initiatives and maintain professional relationships.
  • Adhere to safety, confidentiality, and company policies, including compliance and harassment protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Graduation from an accredited speech therapy program (MS or MA) with current licensure.
