Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy Program.
• Current New York State Speech Language Pathologist License.
• Prior experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' speech and language needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Design activities that help residents improve independence in their daily activities.
• Observe and assess resident performance, adjusting treatments as necessary, and preparing detailed progress reports.
• Assist in the rehabilitation of residents affected by injury, illness, or other conditions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents and staff.
• Maintain resident confidence by ensuring the secure handling of confidential information.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of resident care and progress, auditing department records as necessary.
• Work closely with healthcare teams to contribute to a cooperative and supportive team environment.
