Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - TriCities in Bristol, TN is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for Per Diem Days. Candidates must hold current state licensure, have BLS or be completion-ready within 90 days, and CCC is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist is required.
  • BLS certification or completion within first 90 days of employment is required.
  • Preferred: CCC - Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA).

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation of communication skills and/or swallowing function.
  • Deliver goal-oriented treatment to maximize communication and/or swallowing potential.
  • Monitor quality of services within Rehab Therapy Department and participate in peer reviews.
  • Assist in developing SLP programs and revising department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain adequate stock of supplies and share knowledge with teammates.

Compensation: $50.00 per hour

  • You will provide a comprehensive evaluation of communication skills and/or swallowing function and provide goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum communication and/or swallowing potential.
  • Participates with fellow staff in monitoring the quality of services provided by the Rehab Therapy Department.
  • Participates in peer review for staff performance and appraisals.
  • Assists in the development of the SLP role in programs and services, as well as revising the departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assists in maintaining an adequate stock of supplies.
  • Exhibits willingness to share professional knowledge and experience. Alerts the Manager to educational needs
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.
