The successful candidate will coordinate IEPs, attend meetings and ensure compliance with district policies, while maintaining accurate student records and reporting progress to administrators and caregivers.

Qualifications

• Valid certificate, license, or other legal credential required.
• Experience with speech-language pathology in an educational setting beneficial.
• Ability to develop goals and track student progress.

Responsibilities

• Implements screening and referral process for identification of students in need of service.
• Conducts comprehensive speech-language assessments on referred students.
• Obtains and uses diagnostic information from parents and staff regarding student performance.
• Develops long- and short-range goals and objectives for students in need of services.
• Maintains student data records and progress reports.
• Implements therapy programs to meet individual student needs.
• Keeps current with literature and attends professional meetings or conventions.
• Coordinates meetings for eligible students (IEPs, testing, conferences).
• Instructs staff on communicative disorders and use of assistive devices.
• Instructs students in communication technologies (e.g., hearing aids, FM systems).
• Participates in meetings, workshops, seminars, and team meetings.
• Performs site visits including home visits to provide therapy as required.
• Other duties as assigned by district leadership.
