Job summary

Ascend Rehab Services in Contra Costa County is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students, while mentoring SLPAs and CFs and helping build a strong, collaborative clinical team.

You will conduct evaluations, develop IEP goals, provide direct therapy, and participate in meetings with families and educators, with a clear path toward leadership, mentorship, and program development.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active CA SLP License (or eligibility).
• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech & language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct therapy services (individual and group) and support evidence-based interventions.
• Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with SLPAs; oversee CF supervision and clinical leadership.
• Develop and implement IEP goals related to speech and language and AAC needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings and coordinate with families, teachers, and related staff.
• Maintain documentation and supervision requirements in compliance with guidelines.

School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support K-12 students in a school setting within Contra Costa County while also serving in a mentorship and supervisory capacity for SLPAs and Clinical Fellows (CFs). This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP looking to expand into leadership, clinical mentorship, and team development while continuing to make a meaningful impact with students.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students with a range of communication needs
• Provide direct therapy services (individual and group) and support implementation of evidence-based interventions across school settings
• Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with SLPAs, providing clinical guidance, support, and oversight to ensure quality service delivery and compliance
• Provide Clinical Fellowship (CF) supervision, mentorship, feedback, and professional development support to emerging clinicians
• Develop and implement IEP goals related to speech, language, social communication, pragmatics, and AAC needs as appropriate
• Participate in IEP meetings, communicate with families, and collaborate closely with teachers, OTs, psychologists, and school staff to support student success
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, supervision requirements, and compliance with school and state guidelines
