Qualifications

• Master's Degree and CCC or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Must meet licensure or registration requirements of states where working.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses speech and language disorders.
• Records and interprets diagnostic information and makes recommendations.
• Provides habilitative and rehabilitative services to improve communication.
• Counsels individuals with speech-language disorders.
• Coordinates treatment with other health professionals.
• Develops case plans with patient and family and discharge criteria.
• Provides related in-service training for health professionals.
• Conducts screenings to identify needing further evaluation.
• Participates in team conferences and documentation.
