Qualifications
- Master's Degree and CCC or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Must meet licensure or registration requirements of states where working.
Responsibilities
- Diagnoses speech and language disorders.
- Records and interprets diagnostic information and makes recommendations.
- Provides habilitative and rehabilitative services to improve communication.
- Counsels individuals with speech-language disorders.
- Coordinates treatment with other health professionals.
- Develops case plans with patient and family and discharge criteria.
- Provides related in-service training for health professionals.
- Conducts screenings to identify needing further evaluation.
- Participates in team conferences and documentation.
