Job summary

St. Luke’s Health–Brazosport Hospital in Lake Jackson, TX is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders, significantly improving patient quality of life.

You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and contribute to program development while working with an interdisciplinary team and prioritizing patient and family education and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Evaluates, plans and implements communication and/or swallow treatment programs.
• Advanced knowledge of new treatment philosophies and techniques.
• Promotes patient/family education and actively participates in goal setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and Implements communication and/or swallow treatment programs according to physician referral, and/or plan of care.
• Plans and organizes work to enhance patient care and departmental outcomes.
• Promotes and supports professional customer service and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provides documentation including patient care charting and daily scheduling.
• Utilizes information systems to support departmental and hospital goals.
