Job summary

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to assess and treat residents with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. You’ll work within an interdisciplinary team to deliver resident-centered care and advance communication and swallowing outcomes.

Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning skills, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Florida SLP license in good standing.
• CCC is preferred for specialty in rehabilitation.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide speech therapy to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per regulatory standards.
• Educate residents and families on therapy goals.
• Participate in care planning and discharge planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies.
