Job summary

Inglewood Healthcare Center is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. You will work under physician direction to implement care plans and conduct rehabilitative programs.

The role requires an MS in Speech-Language Pathology, a current California license, and clinical competency certification. Vaccination for Covid-19 and California mandates compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Current license in Speech Therapy as required by state law.
• Certification in clinical competency.
• Covid 19 vaccine required.
• Compliance with California Covid mandate.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates Residents and develops appropriate care plans.
• Under a physician's direction, provides direct patient/resident treatment based on established plan of care.
• Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Instructs residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with policy and regulations.
• Maintains patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Devises special tools and treatments for patients' specific needs.
