Job summary

Providence is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for our Seward Mountain Haven in Seward, AK. The role involves developing and coordinating SLP services, collaborating with physicians and families, and providing direct patient care on a day shift.

Eligible external hires may receive a $5,000 signing bonus and relocation assistance. 40 hours per week, 1.0 FTE, onsite in Seward. Alaska licensure required on hire or temporary license eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.
  • Alaska SLP License or Alaska SLP Temporary License required on hire.
  • National Provider BLS certification required on hire.
  • CFY candidates may be considered with commitment to employment after certification and licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, coordinates and maintains Speech Language Pathology services in collaboration with physicians, primary partners, and patient/family; assists in direct patient care; collaborates with the team to plan and provide care per ASHA guidelines.

Position is full time, 1.0 FTE, day shift, 40 hours per week. Located onsite at Providence Seward Mountain Haven in Seward, AK!

$5,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Relocation Assistance available for eligible hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Develops, coordinates and maintains Speech Language Pathology services in collaboration with physicians, primary partners, and patient/family. Assists in direct patient care. Collaborates with other team members to plan and provide important aspects of care, in compliance with standards and guidelines established by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

Required Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Upon hire: Alaska Speech Language Pathologist License or
  • Upon hire: Alaska Speech Language Pathologist Temporary License.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
  • Upon hire: CFY candidates will be considered, with commitment of continued employment after certification and full licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and credentials in sub-specialty.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
