Job summary

Providence Seward Mountain Haven in Seward, AK is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist. This 1.0 FTE, 40-hour week position is onsite with a day shift, located in Seward, AK.

The role involves developing and coordinating Speech Language Pathology services, assisting in direct patient care, and collaborating with physicians and care teams. Alaska licensure and BLS are required; CFY candidates will be considered.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• Alaska SLP License or Alaska Temporary License required on hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• CFY candidates will be considered with commitment to employment after certification and licensure.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates and maintains Speech Language Pathology services in collaboration with physicians, primary partners, and patients/families.
• Assists in direct patient care.
• Collaborates with team members to plan and provide care in accordance with ASHA standards.

Develops, coordinates and maintains Speech Language Pathology services in collaboration with physicians, primary partners, and patient/family. Assists in direct patient care. Collaborates with other team members to plan and provide important aspects of care, in compliance with standards and guidelines established by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Upon hire: Alaska Speech Language Pathologist License or
• Upon hire: Alaska Speech Language Pathologist Temporary License.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
• Upon hire: CFY candidates will be considered, with commitment of continued employment after certification and full licensure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience and credentials in sub-specialty.
