Speech-Language Pathologist - PRN The Arbors Healthcare and Rehab Center

Join our team at Creative Solutions In HealthCare as a Per Diem (PRN) Speech-Language Pathologist at The Arbors Healthcare and Rehab Center.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated SLP to provide person-centered care to our residents, aiming for positive outcomes through assessment and therapy.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate residents for swallowing or cognitive deficits.
  • Assist residents in improving cognition or swallowing abilities.
  • Educate residents and caregivers.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
  • Train clients, families, and staff as a subject matter expert.
  • Coordinate with professionals for diagnostic procedures.
  • Maintain current technical skills and communicate resident condition changes.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and billing.
  • Respond promptly to family concerns.
  • Collaborate with nursing and care staff for training.
  • Uphold resident safety and confidentiality.
  • Comply with legal and professional standards.
Skills and Requirements
  • Preferred SNF/long-term care experience.
  • Knowledge of current treatment practices.
  • Familiarity with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
  • Ability to manage diverse personalities.
  • Active/Valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current ASHA Certification.
  • Good standing with regulatory agencies.
