Job Overview

GENERAL PURPOSE

To ensure the highest quality of care by providing therapy services to patients in accordance with current standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Conduct evaluations and identify equipment needs related to speech/language function.
  2. Identify speech defects and develop care plans to improve patient outcomes.
  3. Administer speech therapy using specialized techniques and equipment.
  4. Recommend communication devices and aids as needed.
  5. Coordinate with physicians and staff to ensure comprehensive care.
  6. Participate in meetings, case conferences, and in-services.
  7. Prepare and submit clinical notes following organizational policies.
  8. Maintain current clinical competency in speech-language pathology.
  9. Identify additional patient and family needs and refer to other services as appropriate.
  10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Valid therapy license in the state of employment.
  2. Degree from an approved Master’s program in Speech-Language Pathology.
  3. Meets requirements for ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence.
  4. At least one year of clinical experience in speech-language pathology.
  5. Good communication, organizational, and computer skills.
  6. Familiarity with general computer use; experience with Apple devices is a plus.
  7. Valid driver’s license, insured vehicle, and ability to travel as needed.
  8. Ability to perform job functions with or without accommodations.
