Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Idaho is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to provide services across acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient populations in line with center policies. This is a PRN role with a Friday–Sunday schedule and a commitment to quality care for individuals and families.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of swallowing disorders experience or extensive dysphagia management during training, with preference for acute care or rehabilitation

Qualifications

  • Current Speech Language Pathologist licensure or provisional Idaho permit.
  • ASHA CCC preferred.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire.
  • ASHA membership preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech therapy services to acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient populations.
  • Participate in planning, implementation and evaluation of quality assurance programs.
  • Deliver quality care to individuals and families in accordance with policies.

Job description

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description:

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will provide speech therapy services to acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient populations in compliance with policies and procedures established by the medical center and/or rehabilitation services department. This includes delivering quality care to individuals and families, as well as participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of quality assurance programs.

This is a PRN (as-needed) position with an anticipated schedule of Friday through Sunday.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience with swallowing disorders OR extensive dysphagia management experience within an internship/externship program. Previous experience in Acute Care or Rehabilitation is preferred.

License/Certification:

  • Current Speech Language Pathologist licensure or a provisional permit issued by the State of Idaho.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from either AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS.
  • Active membership within ASHA preferred.
