Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Idaho is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for PRN, part-time schedule delivering therapy across acute care, rehab and outpatient settings, in line with policies and quality programs.

You will assess swallowing disorders, plan and implement care, and participate in quality assurance activities while supporting patients and families.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience with swallowing disorders or extensive dysphagia management during internship/externship.
  • Acute Care or Rehabilitation experience is preferred.
  • Current Speech Language Pathologist licensure in Idaho; ASHA CCC preferred.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire in all units unless ACLS/PALS already held.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech therapy services to acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient populations in accordance with center and department policies.
  • Deliver quality care to individuals and families and participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of quality assurance programs.

Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will provide speech therapy services to acute care, rehabilitation, and outpatient populations in compliance with policies and procedures established by the medical center and/or rehabilitation services department. This includes delivering quality care to individuals and families, as well as participating in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of quality assurance programs.

This is a PRN (as-needed) position with an anticipated schedule of Friday through Sunday.

Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience with swallowing disorders OR extensive dysphagia management experience within an internship/externship program. Previous experience in Acute Care or Rehabilitation is preferred.

License/Certification:

  • Current Speech Language Pathologist licensure or a provisional permit issued by the State of Idaho.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from either AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS.
  • Active membership within ASHA preferred.
