Description

The Speech/Language Pathologist provides competent, courteous, and respectful evaluation, treatment, and supervision of patients with communication, problem-solving, cognitive, and swallowing difficulties, following scope of practice as outlined by ASHA and licensure laws. Responsibilities include communicating with families, physicians, and healthcare team members, maintaining professional documentation, conducting staff training, and participating in interdisciplinary meetings. The role reports to the Therapy Program Manager and ultimately the Director of Operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate CRI values of Commitment, Respect, and Integrity, and maintain professional development through continuing education.

Requirements
Essential Functions
  1. Evaluate patients within 24-48 hours of physician’s orders.
  2. Develop and implement treatment plans.
  3. Treat patients according to the care plan.
  4. Communicate patient progress and issues with the healthcare team and families.
  5. Participate in team meetings and staff training.
  6. Document evaluations, treatment notes, and billing accurately.
  7. Educate families and staff on maintenance programs.
  8. Participate in discharge planning.
  9. Meet or exceed productivity standards.
  10. Recommend equipment to improve service delivery.
  11. Report equipment problems.
  12. Supervise graduate clinicians.
  13. Comply with licensure standards.
  14. Maintain an organized work environment.
  15. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Concept Rehab.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned.
