Job summary

Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our Cordova, TN home health team on a PRN basis. You will assess patients, provide therapy, and guide caregivers to support communication goals in the home setting.

Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology, an active SLP license, and CPR/BLS certification, with at least one year of SLP experience. The role offers flexible scheduling and comprehensive benefits where applicable.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted state license to practice as an SLP.
• BLS or CPR certification per state requirements.
• One year of work experience as an SLP.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language needs and determine continued therapy.
• Teach patients how to produce sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods such as sign language when needed.
• Educate healthcare team, patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises for ongoing progress.
• Document progress and clinical notes, and submit visit documentation per policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions.
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
• Minimum of one (1) year’s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
