Job summary

Adoration Health seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Home Health team in Chattanooga, TN. This PRN role focuses on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in the home, working with patients and families to improve communication and quality of life.

The SLP will collaborate with care teams, provide individualized therapy, and document patient progress. The position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Current, unrestricted license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate speech or language needs and determine continued therapy.
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve voice quality.
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, for patients with limited speech.
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in exercises to support progress outside therapy sessions.
• Document progress and clinical notes and submit visit documentation per policy.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services
• Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
• Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability
• Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
• Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

• Minimum of Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
• A minimum of one (1) year's work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
