Clearwaterhealthandrehab is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents in a sub-acute/skilled nursing setting. You will assess speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive function and develop treatment plans.
Under physician direction you will document care, collaborate with rehab staff, and ensure HIPAA-compliant records. A Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology, current SLP license, CPR, and six months in long-term care preferred.
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will evaluate and treat residents/patients with temporary or long-term speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities in compliance with state and federal guidelines. They will evaluate the resident’s/patient’s speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency and develop treatment plans. They will treat the residents/patients based on a physician’s treatment plan.
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
Licenses/Certification:
Current license in Speech Language Therapy as required by state law.
Valid CPR certification required.
Experience:
Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
