Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for per diem weekend/holiday coverage, with some weekday availability. You will supervise therapy aides, ensure care adheres to regulations, and maintain productivity while adapting to patient needs.

You must hold a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, be BLS certified, and have Florida SLP credentials (SLP, SLP-PROV or SLP-TEMP). This role supports a values-driven team with benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Licensed SLP or provisional/temporary SLP with Florida eligibility.
• BLS certification required.
• Field of Study: Speech/Language Pathology.

Responsibilities

• Oversees care provided by therapy aides and ensures compliance with regs.
• Maintains productivity by managing time and patient load.
• Serves as Clinical instructor and applies evidence-based practices.
• Adjusts to changes in patient census and collaborates with other centers.

Job Description:

Per Diem - weekend/holiday coverage and also weekday availability

Oversees the care provided by therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards.

Maintains productivity standards as defined by the department, through effective time management and clinical efficiency and adjusts work hours to meet the needs of the patients as required.

Practices principles of professional development and performance improvements by maintaining clinical knowledge, using best and or evidence-based practices, and serving as a Clinical instructor.

Adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours and assisting in other centers/programs as needed.

Practices principles of employee and patient safety in daily job activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English effectively.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and electronic formats
