Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Daytona Beach is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a per diem/PRN role. The SLP will perform comprehensive evaluations and deliver goal-oriented treatment for communication and swallowing needs.

You will collaborate with the Rehab Therapy Department, contribute to interdisciplinary patient programming, and participate in ongoing service quality initiatives. Minimum qualifications include current state licensure; BLS (or completion within 90 days); and CCC from

  • Provide a comprehensive evaluation of communication skills and swallowing function.
  • Provide goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum communication and/or swallowing potential.
  • Participates with Rehab Therapy Department to monitor service quality and program development.
  • Assist in developing SLP programs and revising policies and procedures.

Position: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Per Diem

Location: Daytona Beach, FL

Schedule: PRN/Per-diem (weekend hours NOT required)

  • You will provide a comprehensive evaluation of communication skills and/or swallowing function and provide goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum communication and/or swallowing potential.
  • Participates with fellow staff in monitoring the quality of services provided by the Rehab Therapy Department.
  • Participates in peer review for staff performance and appraisals.
  • Assists in the development of the SLP role in programs and services, as well as revising the departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assists in maintaining an adequate stock of supplies.
  • Exhibits willingness to share professional knowledge and experience. Alerts the Manager to educational needs
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.
