Job summary

Frederick Villa Healthcare in Maryland seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to join our in-house therapy team. You will deliver services per an established plan of care, educate residents, families, and caregivers, and document outcomes to guide ongoing treatment.

The role emphasizes hands-on assessments of communication, cognition, and swallowing, with daily billing duties and strict adherence to state and federal regulations. Maryland licensure and ASHA CCC are required.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland licensure as Speech Language Pathologist is required.
• ASHA CCC certification is required or in good standing.
• Experience in SNF/long-term care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver treatment per an established plan of care.
• Instruct residents, families and caregivers.
• Measure and document communicative, cognitive and swallowing outcomes.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
• Measures & records patient’s communicative, cognitive, and swallowing functions
• Monitors patient responses to treatments and makes modifications during treatment sessions as necessary
• Codes information for billing purposes; performs daily billing
• Completes documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

Skills:

• SNF/Long term care experience preferred
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities

Required licensure:

• Current License as Speech Language Therapist in the State of Maryland. Must be in good standing.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association
