Job summary

Heartland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boynton Beach, FL is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. You will evaluate residents, design personalized speech, language, and swallowing therapy programs, and help residents regain independence.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, Florida licensure or eligibility, and CCC-SLP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• Current Florida SLP license or eligibility.
• CCC-SLP preferred or eligible.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech, language, and swallowing therapy programs.
• Provide therapy sessions and adjust treatment plans based on resident progress and needs.
• Assess and recommend adaptive communication devices when appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Supervise therapy assistants and provide guidance or training as needed.
• Participate in resident care conferences and maintain accurate documentation of progress and outcomes.

In this role, you will help residents regain and strengthen their communication and swallowing abilities, improving their independence and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech, language, and swallowing therapy programs

• Provide therapy sessions and adjust treatment plans based on resident progress and needs
