Job summary

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to join the Rehab Services team. This PRN, day-shift role offers 16 hours every two weeks, focusing on collaborative, high-quality patient care.

You will assess and treat communication and swallowing disorders using specialized equipment and evidence-based practices. New graduates are welcome; Missouri licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Licensed by the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts; Current State of Missouri Speech Language Pathologist License.
• New graduates welcome, 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures to achieve outcomes.
• Identify patients appropriate for rehabilitative therapies.
• Establish care plans using evaluation and screening skills.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for optimal outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, care team, physicians, and others.
• Write clear, legible documentation for care planning.

• Schedule - Shift - Hours PRN - Days - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seekinga licensed SpeechLanguage Pathologist to join the team at our main hospital in Bolivar, MO —someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positivelyimpactevery patient and family we serve.

What Your Day Looks Like:

Equipped with specialized technologies, including Balance Master, VitalStim, and Anodyne, the Rehab Services Department works closely with physicians to provide acute and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to restore the functional abilities of patients. Emphasis is placed on collaboration and teamwork, and new therapists are encouraged to grow their skills through professional development and mentorship. The department routinely finishes within the 90 th percentile or better in the nation for patient satisfaction.

As a Speech Therapist, you will be:

• Utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to achieve intended outcomes
• Identifying patients appropriate for rehabilitative therapies
• Establishing an effective plan of care using appropriate skills for evaluation and screening
• Developing and implementing treatment plans that lead to optimal patient outcomes
• Communicating effectively with patients, care team members, physicians, and others
• Writing clear, concise, legible documentation that includes appropriate information for care planning

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Experience:New graduates welcome, 1 year of experience preferred
• Skills:Problem-solving, planning and time-management, verbal and non-verbal communication, basic computer skills, ability to work independently, and listening skills
• Licensure/Certification:Licensed by the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts;Current State of Missouri Speech Language Pathologist License
• Physical Requirements:Physical stamina to sit for extended periods, walk and move around frequently, and lift up to 20 lbs.
