The SLP will conduct assessments, determine educational impact, and provide targeted interventions to improve reading and language outcomes. Responsibilities include collaboration with teachers, families, and external agencies, and ensuring services meet federal and state mandates

Qualifications

• Criminal Record Check (C.O.R.I.) and fingerprint check required.
• Appropriate licensing required.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Conducting assessments in collaboration with others to identify students with communication disorders and inform instruction and intervention.
• Determining if the disorder impacts a student’s education and addressing educational goals accordingly.
• Providing intervention focusing on linguistic and metalinguistic foundations of curriculum learning, reading and written language skills.
• Delivering services in the least restrictive environment and using data to evaluate individual and program progress.
• Collaborating with school professionals, families and outside agencies.
