Job description

Description:

In this role, you will play an important part in helping children and their families receive the therapy services they need in the West Nashville communities.

The primary responsibilities include evaluating and providing treatment for patients with physical, emotional, and/or psychosocial needs. Specific duties vary by discipline:

  1. Occupational Therapist: Evaluate children from birth to age 21 for fine motor development, visual motor skills, sensory processing, executive functioning, and more. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with caregivers and the interdisciplinary team. Maintain professional competencies and uphold licensure and ethical standards.
  2. Speech Language Pathologist (SLP): Prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children. Work closely with patients, caregivers, and the team to develop treatment plans. Document sessions and progress thoroughly. Maintain professional standards and licensure.
  3. Physical Therapist: Evaluate children from birth to age 21 with congenital and orthopedic conditions. Improve mobility through interventions such as gait training, equipment management, neuromuscular re-education, and exercises. Collaborate with caregivers and the team. Keep up with professional competencies and licensure.

Requirements:

  • SLP: Hold a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology and a current, unrestricted license (or in process).
  • OT: Hold a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and a current, unrestricted license (or in process).
  • PT: Hold a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy and a current, unrestricted license (or in process).
