Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist to join our inpatient, acute care team at The Hospital of Central Connecticut. Flexible scheduling and weekday availability are required, with occasional weekend coverage.

The SLP will evaluate, identify and treat patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders, reporting to the Inpatient Rehabilitation Manager. Per diem compensation is offered within Hartford HealthCare's rehabilitation network.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current CT Department of Health Services license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with disorders of communication, cognition and swallowing.
• Provide direct or indirect speech-language pathology services according to physician referrals.
• Report to Inpatient Rehabilitation Manager and participate in interdisciplinary care.

Position Description

We’re currently seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our inpatient, acute care team. Flexible scheduling, Weekday availability required, occasional weekends.

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Complies with physician referrals to evaluate and treat patients with a variety of disabilities. Independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies and provides direct or indirect services that identify, restore and rehabilitate disorders of communication, cognition and swallowing to maximize a patient's safety and independence. Reports to Inpatient Rehabilitation Manager.

• Current State of CT Department of Health Services license as a Speech Therapist.
