Job summary

Erickson Senior Living Brooksby Village is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support residents across the continuum of care on campus. You will conduct screenings, evaluations, and therapies addressing speech, swallowing, cognition, and voice, while ensuring compliance with ASHA guidelines and payer requirements.

You’ll work within a team to plan personalized care, focusing on residents’ strengths and routines, and contribute to a compassionate community on a beautiful 90-acre campus in

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience with older adult population in related therapies preferred.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Current valid state license (for state where service provided) in occupational therapy assistant, where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech, language, swallowing, cognition, or voice therapy screenings, evaluations, treatments, and trainings.
  • Follow Federal, State, and payer guidelines, ASHA requirements, and company policies.
  • Provide holistic care addressing residents' physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs.
  • Implement residents’ personal care plans considering their preferences and routines.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical team to address residents' needs.

How you will make an impact
  • Providing speech, language, swallowing, cognition, or voice therapy screenings, evaluations, treatments, and trainings to meet customer needs across the community continuum of care.
  • Following Federal, State, and all Payer guidelines, ASHA requirements, and company policies and procedures. Ensuring departmental understanding and compliance in the areas of care provision, documentation, billing reimbursement, resident rights, customer service, and compliance.
  • Providing a holistic approach, supporting the residents' physical, spiritual, emotional, and clinical needs
  • Implementing residents’ personal care plans, focusing on residents’ strengths, preferences, and preferred routines while providing a sense of comfort, companionship, and belonging
  • Working with the interdisciplinary clinical team to ensure the needs of our residents are being addressed throughout their care.
What you will need
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in working with the older adult population related to the therapies is preferred.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Current valid state license (for state in which the community provides service) in occupational therapy Assistant, where applicable.
