Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat clients with speech, language, cognitive or swallowing disorders across post-acute, long-term care and home health settings. You will create individualized treatment plans and document progress per department guidelines.

Requires state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist; ASHA CCC or CFY in progress may be required; BLS certification; and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA) or CFY in progress may be required.
• Valid driver's license may be required and ongoing competencies must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provides speech and language services to clients; monitors progress and adjusts treatments.
• Administers evaluations, tests or examinations to diagnose and plan treatments.
• Instructs clients in practicing therapeutic exercises and collaborates with care teams.
• Maintains documentation in line with department guidelines and regulatory standards.
• May supervise assistants, aides and students; may participate in education for peers.
