Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to apply age-specific standards and guidelines across pediatric to geriatric patients.
• General computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
• Analytical abilities to evaluate patient condition, progress and outcomes.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, physicians, patients and families.
• Ability to work with all levels of patients, the public and healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrates critical thinking in clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals, patient conditions and medical histories to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct patient evaluations and develop discharge plans based on assessments.
• Administer speech-language pathology treatments tailored to patient needs.
• Design rehab programs for language, articulation, swallowing, cognition and memory.
• Educate patients and families on home-based procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in care conferences.
