University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Part-time Speech Language Pathologist to join the Eye and Ear Institute at Presbyterian Hospital.
This position will work 2 ten-hour shifts per week with a weekend rotation.
Purpose:
Provides a quality Speech Language Pathology program to clients.
Responsibilities:
- Achieves and maintains a productivity level that meets or exceeds organizational standards.
- Prepares necessary time records.
- Maintains current status of all criteria necessary to satisfy competency requirements for regulatory and accrediting agencies such as OSHA, TJC, CMS, and practitioner requirements, including CEUs, professional license, CV, CPR certification, TB test, safety and equipment competencies, and in some cases, automobile license and insurance.
- Pursues professional growth and development related to this position, presenting in-service and educational programs, and participating in community education or continuing education as requested.
- Performs all job responsibilities and other duties as assigned, aligning with the organization's mission.
- Maintains accurate progress notes and professional records for all patients.
- Supports organizational policies, procedures, and the mission, including the Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, and HIPAA regulations, reporting any unethical or illegal activities.
- Provides appropriate speech pathology treatments benefiting clients.
- Prepares diagnostic and evaluative reports with recommendations.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
- Provides diagnostic evaluative services for clients referred for Speech-Language Pathology.
- Reports accurate data for the financial, statistical, and administrative needs of the program.
- Coordinates evaluation, scheduling, and treatment programs for clients.
- Participates in staff meetings, development, committees, and in-service education.
- Gathers complete and pertinent historical information on clients.
- Maintains a positive attitude and provides excellent customer service characterized by caring, concern, and support for clients and colleagues.
