Location: STAR Tower at UD, and off site at local community settings

Role Description:

The Treatment Efficacy and Language Learning Lab at the University of Delaware is looking for a part-time Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to be part of a federally funded support group development research program.

The ideal candidate should be capable of conducting diagnostic assessments (e.g., DYMOND, TILLS, PPVT-5, EVT-3), and leading support groups for family members of children with Developmental Language Disorders. Deep knowledge of the DLD profile, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn and consistently follow a research protocol and a willingness to abide by both clinical and research ethics are required.

Qualifications:

  • Required credentials include a Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology and certification from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association (CCC‑SLP).
  • Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with relevant assessments and teletherapy practices, experience with running family support programming, and/or who have previously participated in research.
  • This position is a mix of in person at UD and off site at local community settings, with work primarily occurring after school on weekdays (3-8pm) and periodically on weekends.
  • Assessments via tele therapy are in Fall 2026 are also possible to accommodate participant schedules.
  • One to three in‑person evenings per week is required (between 5:30-9pm at a school/library locations in New Castle County, Delaware) in Spring 2027.
