Position Summary
Accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. Working from home, the Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist will provide virtual speech therapy to K-12 students enrolled in Connections Academy virtual public schools. The SLP will connect with students using webcams and web conferencing software and will use the company’s Education Management System to manage their caseload.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality speech language services to assigned students while supporting program implementation.
- Plan and implement individual and group therapy in a virtual environment.
- Be an expert on assigned school and state-specific policies and procedures for implementing LiveSpeech services.
- Maintain positive working relationships between the LiveSpeech team and the schools and programs served.
- Review and analyze reports to maintain compliance.
- Maintain a high level of communication with the leadership team and school staff.
- Document therapeutic interventions and progress reports timely and thoroughly.
- Meet biweekly with your supervisor.
- Conduct screenings and formal and informal evaluations of students’ communication needs using documented best practices.
- Communicate regularly with parents/learning coaches and school special education staff to ensure IEP goals are met and needs are addressed promptly.
- Consult with teachers and coordinate the implementation of specially designed instruction as defined in the IEP for students with speech/language needs.
- Provide Special Education case management for select students whose only special education need is speech therapy; schedule and conduct IEP-related meetings in a virtual environment as needed.
- Assist with organization and proper implementation of IEP paperwork and procedures for select students.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the Education Management System and related software, updating secondary IEP systems as directed.
- Adhere to all laws and company policies regarding data protection and security.
- Obtain and maintain all required licenses and clearances as assigned.
- Complete required professional development and CEUs to maintain credentials and meet company compliance standards.

- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Work Environment & Equipment
Pearson provides flexible work options, including the ability to work from home. Employees must have the means to work remotely and adhere to work-at-home policies, including privacy of records, technology standards, equipment standards, and expectations.
Equipment provided for full-time SLPs: Laptop, 2nd monitor, headset, webcam.
Equipment to be provided by you: mouse and keyboard (as the employee).
Requirements
- MA or MS in Speech Language Pathology and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence
- Valid Massachusetts Licensure in Speech Pathology
- Ability to obtain and maintain multiple required state certifications and clearances as assigned
- 2+ years of experience in a K-12 school setting
- Strong technology skills
- High degree of flexibility and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication

Salary & Benefits
